KetaSpire®  KT-820 SL30 polyetheretherketone

Ketaspire KT-820 SL30 is a polyetheretherketone(PEEK) compound designed to provide a balance of excellent mechanical properties, wear resistance and low coefficient of friction in both dry and externally lubricated applications.The resin is formulated with a ternary anti-friction/anti-wear additive system comprised of carbon fiber, graphite, and polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE).

KetaSpire PEEK is produced to the highest industry standards and is characterized by a distinct combination of properties,which include excellent wear resistance,best-in-class fatigue resistance, ease of melt processing, high purity, and excellent chemical resistance to organics, acids, and bases.

These properties make it well-suited for applications in transportation,electronics, chemical processing, and industrial uses including oil and gas exploration and production.The resin is black in color in its natural state.

KetaSpire® PEEK (polyetheretherketone) offers an exceptional combination of fatigue resistance and chemical resistance. PEEK has similar chemical resistance to PPS (polyphenylene sulfide). However, PEEK is capable of operating at higher temperatures and maintains its excellent mechanical properties at continuous-use temperatures up to 240 °C (464 °F). This makes it a suitable replacement for metal in demanding end-use environments.

KetaSpire® PEEK is manufactured to the highest industry standards and is known for its unique combination of properties. It exhibits excellent wear resistance, best-in-class fatigue resistance, ease of melt processing, high purity, and outstanding chemical resistance to organic compounds, acids, and bases.These exceptional properties make it well-suited for a wide range of applications in various industries, including additive manufacturing, aerospace, automotive, healthcare, oil and gas, and semiconductor sectors.

KetaSpire® PEEK XT delivers the chemical resistance and ease of processing of standard PEEK along with improved mechanical and electrical properties. Compared to standard PEEK, it has a 20 °C (36 °F) higher glass transition temperature and a 45 °C (81 °F) higher melting temperature.While other high-temperature polyketones like PEK, PEKK and PEKEKK exhibit thermal properties comparable to KetaSpire® PEEK XT, they lack the chemical resistance of both standard PEEK and KetaSpire® PEEK XT.
