PEEK resin is a high-performance specialty engineering plastic that offers numerous significant advantages compared to other engineering plastics. These advantages include high temperature resistance, chemical corrosion resistance, excellent mechanical properties, radiation resistance, good self-lubrication, flame retardancy, peel resistance, stable insulation properties, hydrolysis resistance, and ease of processing. PEEK resin finds applications in various fields such as aerospace, electronics, automotive manufacturing, the medical industry, and food processing.

Initially, PEEK resin was used in the aerospace industry to replace aluminum and other metal materials for manufacturing various aircraft components. It is known for its high performance and lightweight nature. PEEK resin serves as a prime material for manufacturing engine covers due to its excellent friction resistance and mechanical properties. Various components made from PEEK resin, including bearings, gaskets, seals, and clutch rings, are extensively being used in the transmission, braking, and air conditioning systems of automobiles. PEEK resin is an ideal electrical insulator that maintains excellent electrical insulation properties even under harsh working conditions such as high voltage, high temperature, and high humidity. Therefore, it is utilized in the manufacturing of components such as pipes, valves, and pumps for transporting ultrapure water. In the semiconductor industry, PEEK resin is commonly used to produce wafer carriers, electronic insulation films, and various connector devices.

PEEK resin is a semi-crystalline engineering plastic that is virtually insoluble in solvents other than concentrated sulfuric acid. PEEK resin products can withstand pressurized hot water or steam with a temperature of 300℃. Additionally, PEEK resin products can withstand 3000 cycles of high-pressure sterilization at a temperature of 134℃. Therefore, PEEK resin can be used to produce accessories for surgical and dental equipment that require high sterilization standards and repeated use.

PEEK molding process：

The PEEK molding temperature ranges from 320 to 390 degrees Celsius. The material drying temperature is set between 160 and 185 degrees Celsius for a duration of 5 to 8 hours. The mold temperature should be maintained within the range of 140 to 180 degrees Celsius. It should be noted that the high molding temperature of PEEK resin can cause significant damage to the screw, so the screw speed should not be set too fast. The injection pressure should be between 100 and 130 MPa, with an injection speed ranging from 40 to 80. After the molding process, it is important to promptly clean the screw with PE wax to prevent any PEEK material from remaining inside the screw.
